Inspired by her desire to share the love of agriculture, author Taylor Sondgeroth is self writing, illustrating, and publishing a children’s book based on the concept of sharing “what agriculture looks like” with the next generation.
While a single book cannot fully portray each subindustry and their impacts, This Is Agriculture aims to provide a realistic, age & audience appropriate representation of American agriculture in children’s literature. Stories of triumph, trial, family, faith, endurance, strategy, struggle, innovation, and care can all be found in the people who make US agriculture possible.
Much like the country itself, the picture agriculture paints is composed of many voices and experiences. Sondgeroth believes in sharing stories that present the perspectives and lived experiences of many voices rather than individualized, "self truth" proclamations of theology and framework.
"I believe in the truth that we are all created equal, fallen and fearfully made creatures of God’s image. We are unique pieces of a fuller and grander picture. My purpose is to glorify God by following the call on my life to use my abilities and passions to share the stories of his people."
